The Receptionist will be responsible for administering COVID-19 screening protocols, including asking screening questions and performing temperature checks on all visitors to the facility. This safety check is vital in preventing the spread of illness and maintaining a healthy environment for everyone.
In addition to health screening, the Receptionist will assist visitors with inquiries, provide directions, and address initial questions about the facility and the services offered. The role requires a polite yet clear communication style to explain any necessary changes in appointment types based on screening results. The Receptionist will also perform other administrative tasks such as maintaining the registration and lobby areas, documenting screening findings, and reporting results to supervisory leads.
Bilingual skills in Spanish are preferred but not required, reflecting our commitment to serving a diverse community. The candidate must hold at least a high school diploma or equivalent and be authorized to work in the United States. Given the nature of the role, strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently while collaborating with a team are crucial.

Job Duties
- Administer medical questionnaires directly to clinic staff, patients, and visitors
- Administer and interpret temperature readings using forehead, tympanic, or oral thermometers according to manufacturer instructions and CDC guidelines
- Report positive and negative screening results following established protocols
- Communicate findings directly to leads as required
- Document the findings and results of medical screenings
- Translate for provider and office staff as requested
- Make necessary changes to appointment types based on screening results and communicate clearly with patients
- Ensure the registration and lobby areas are maintained appropriately
- Notify the Office Manager of potential problems including patient relations and flow
- Acquire appropriate signatures as needed
