This company places a high priority on its purpose to provide help and build confidence in clients and communities alike, reflecting its dedication to service excellence and community connection.

The role of Client Service Professional/Receptionist at H&R Block is a seasonal position focused on delivering superior client service and support. This position involves greeting clients warmly, answering phones professionally, and efficiently matching clients with the appropriate tax professional based on their requirements. This role ensures that client needs are fully met through various means including in-person, phone, or virtual interactions. The Client Service Professional/Receptionist will be instrumental in enhancing client satisfaction, nurturing long-term client relationships, and supporting the operational flow within the office environment.

Applicants for this role should be adept at handling fast-paced situations and multitasking efficiently. Prior exposure to customer service roles is highly valuable as it prepares the individual to meet the diverse needs of clients with tact and professionalism. Technological proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office, is important since it supports communication and scheduling tasks. The position may require working a flexible schedule or across multiple locations, thus adaptability is key. While a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, the core focus is on strong interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, and a reliable work ethic.

H&R Block values the wellbeing and professional growth of its associates by offering comprehensive benefits that include employee assistance programs, wellbeing initiatives like BetterYou, neurodiversity and caregiver support, and various discounts on everyday items. Additional benefits available to eligible employees include medical coverage, a 401k retirement savings plan, and an employee stock purchase plan. The company prides itself on maintaining a connected culture that fosters trust, care, and belonging, promoting an inclusive work environment where all employees can feel safe to express their authentic selves and collaborate effectively.

This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $11.00 to $27.00 per hour, with pay determined by experience, education, skill level, performance, and geographical location. Potential candidates might also have opportunities to participate in incentive compensation plans or short-term incentive programs, providing additional earnings. Employees benefit from a variety of support and professional resources that enhance both personal and career development. Joining H&R Block means becoming part of a global industry leader recognized on prestigious employer lists and joining a community devoted to mutual growth and success.
