Job Requirements

  • prior experience or coursework in dentistry, insurance, or business preferred
  • proficiency with office practices and technology

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • prior coursework or training in dentistry, insurance, or business preferred
  • knowledge of office practices, technology applications, and patient insurances

  • financial acumen regarding profit drivers and metrics

Job Duties

  • Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices
  • support the Perfect Patient Experience process by assisting patients to visit and ensuring their comfort
  • schedule appointments to optimize provider productivity
  • interact and communicate with patients and guests in the reception area
  • answer telephones promptly and manage calls efficiently
  • complete daily front office checklist tasks
  • post payments to patient accounts as per company policy
  • act as a subject matter expert on the practice management system for patient registration and e-check in
  • efficiently check in patients, obtain consents, and notify the back office of arrivals
  • confirm all patient appointments at least two days in advance
  • return and resolve patient messages from the Contact Center timely
  • actively participate in daily huddles and meetings
  • understand and impact business metrics through role responsibilities
  • demonstrate stewardship of the PDS brand and make brand-aligned decisions
  • support clinician patient education about the Mouth-Body Connection
  • maintain appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
  • comply with company policies and state, federal, and regulatory requirements
  • perform other duties as assigned
