Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience and physical ability to perform all modern business office clerical roles, including mail distribution
  • Proficiency in working with a multi-line telephone system
  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ability to operate all current administrative office equipment including word-processor and other computer equipment, copiers, facsimiles, printers, base radio

Job Duties

  • Operating a multi-line telephone system
  • Answering and transferring callers to the appropriate department and staff member
  • Taking and distributing messages as needed
  • Greeting, announcing and directing visitors and customers
  • Opening, sorting and distributing incoming mail and deliveries
  • Assisting the sales staff with mailings of promotional material
  • Assisting with the programming of the computerized phone system
  • Performing general clerical and administrative functions as directed by the Human Resource Manager
  • Acting as the backup for the Secretary
