Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of receptionist or front desk experience
- Experience in healthcare or behavioral health setting preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1-2 years of receptionist or front desk experience, preferably in a healthcare or behavioral health setting
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) and ability to use electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Familiarity with substance use treatment programs such as ZOOBOOK, NJSAMS is a plus
Job Duties
- Greet and check in all clients, visitors, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and inquiries to the appropriate staff or department
- Provide general information about the facility's programs and admission process as permitted
- Ensure the reception and waiting area is clean, organized, and client-ready at all times
- Maintain visitor and client logs and ensure sign-in procedures are followed in accordance with agency policy
- Support the Admissions team with filing, scanning, copying, and distributing admission-related documents
- Schedule appointments and follow-up calls for assessments, screenings, and intake interviews
- Collect and verify identification and insurance documents from incoming clients
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA and facility guidelines
- Coordinate with security and clinical staff when clients arrive for intake or appointments
- Assist with special projects, data entry, and other administrative duties as assigned
