  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • previous experience in customer service, office work, or a school setting preferred
  • proficiency with phone systems, email, and basic computer programs (Microsoft Office, Google Suite)

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist visitors, students, and parents ensuring a welcoming and professional front office environment
  • maintain detailed sign-in logs to track all visitors entering and leaving the premises
  • manage background checks for all volunteers and agencies
  • answer phone calls, direct inquiries, and manage email communications
  • maintain student records including enrollment and attendance
  • coordinate reception of health information and records with the school nurse
  • assist with student registration, withdrawals, and transfers
  • prepare and distribute school correspondence, newsletters, and announcements
  • schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and events for the Head of School and administrative staff
  • manage office supplies and ensure the office is well-organized and stocked
  • handle confidential information with discretion
  • support the principal and staff with various clerical tasks including filing, data entry, and document preparation
  • manage substitute teacher support
  • assist with students who come in late to school or leave early to ensure they have signed in/out and have a pass to class
  • share information broadly with administrators, teachers, and students' families through email, phone calls, or alternative communication methods
  • receive, sort, and systematize mail and packages
  • other duties as assigned by building and district administration
