Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Minimum one year of secretarial training or clerical experience
- Excellent command of English both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
- Calm and collected demeanor in emergency situations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Genuine interest working with older adults
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- One year of secretarial training or clerical experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written in English
- Pleasant personality and telephone voice
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations
- Complete confidentiality when handling general information
- Knowledge of computers including Microsoft Office Suite
- Interest in and desire to work with older adults
Job Duties
- Answer all telephone calls quickly in a polite and friendly manner
- Transfer calls appropriately and take messages when needed
- Monitor emergency system and direct staff to emergent situations
- Call emergency personnel as appropriate
- Complete resident emergency checks
- Provide information and direct visitors to appropriate individuals
- Ensure visitors and contractors sign in and wear appropriate badges
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of reception desk and lobby
- Facilitate transportation requests and communicate timing to residents and staff
- Assist residents with program and activity sign-ups and collect payment
- Demonstrate knowledge of office equipment and monitor supply needs
- Sell postage stamps and manage mail and packages
- Facilitate and input maintenance requests
- Complete monthly charge sheets
- Support clerical duties as assigned by Administrative Services Coordinator
- Support Lead Receptionist in clerical duties and reception area maintenance
- Balance cash register including cash receipts and checks
