Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in receptionist or customer service roles preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage front desk operations
  • Knowledge of basic clerical duties
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Comfortable working in a healthcare environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Familiarity with telephone systems and office equipment
  • Basic knowledge of medical or behavioral health terminology is a plus

Job Duties

  • Represent Sonora Hospital at the front desk and on the main phone line
  • Ensure all patients are greeted promptly and professionally
  • Provide effective screening of telephone calls by identifying callers’ needs and responding appropriately
  • Receive calls from contracted and non-contracted hospitals, completing inquiry call sheets
  • Initiate completion of history and demographic forms from patients or guardians
  • Obtain copies of driver’s license and insurance card from registered patient visitors
  • Provide clerical support to various departments including copying, filing, and sorting documents as backup to medical records specialists
