The Receptionist position at this Penske dealership plays a critical role as the first point of contact for all visitors and callers. This role is 100% on-site, emphasizing the importance of personal interaction and maintaining a professional environment. The receptionist is responsible for managing all inbound calls efficiently, utilizing the Penske-approved script, and transferring these calls to the correct departments or individuals while ensuring a positive and friendly demeanor.

This position requires maintaining a clean and organized workspace and managing the flow of communications, including logging incoming packages and notifying recipients promptly. The receptionist serves as an administrative support resource when needed, assisting management with various office tasks. Given the importance of this role in customer experience and internal communications, the receptionist must exhibit excellent communication skills, time management, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task under pressure.

Beyond handling telephone traffic, this role supports the sales department by directing general sales inquiries appropriately and logging all sales-related calls per dealership standards, enabling better tracking and follow-up. Job Duties

  • Receive all inbound calls for the dealership
  • maintain a friendly manner while answering the phones
  • transfer all calls to the correct extensions and to the individual that the guest or employee is requesting
  • maintain a professional personal appearance
  • maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • log all incoming packages such as Fed-Ex and UPS on the log and notify the recipients as soon as possible
  • contact the General Manager or designee when post office mail has arrived
  • provide all general sales inquiries that are not for a specified individual to the appropriate department or individual or distribute according to dealership standard
  • log and track all sales related calls according to the dealership's standards
  • assist in administrative work when asked and approved by management
