Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Prior course work or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business preferred

Job Duties

  • Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework
  • Support the Perfect Patient Experience process by helping to get patients into the office and ensuring their comfort during visits
  • Schedule appointments to ensure each healthcare provider has a smooth and productive day
  • Interact and communicate with patients and guests in the reception area during their wait time
  • Answer telephones promptly and handle all calls efficiently and thoroughly
  • Complete all tasks on the front office checklist daily
  • Post payments to patient accounts following Company policies
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the practice management system for patient registration, e-check-in, and accurate account information
  • Efficiently manage patient check-ins, obtain necessary consents, and notify the back office of patient arrivals with pertinent information
  • Confirm all patient appointments at least two days in advance per office confirmation policies
  • Return and resolve all patient messages from the Contact Center promptly
  • Actively participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings
  • Demonstrate understanding of business imperatives and the role's impact on operational metrics
  • Uphold the PDS Brand stewardship by making decisions consistent with the company’s brand framework
  • Support clinicians in patient education regarding the Mouth-Body Connection
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor according to company policies and treat others respectfully
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies as well as State, Federal, and other regulatory requirements
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
