The Legal Receptionist role at Epiq's downtown San Francisco office is essential to ensuring smooth front office operations and providing excellent service both internally and externally. This position serves as the welcoming face and voice for clients and visitors, creating a professional and friendly first impression. The role involves managing receptionist responsibilities such as answering calls, taking messages, greeting visitors, and maintaining a neat reception area. Additionally, the Legal Receptionist supports administrative functions by ordering and stocking supplies and assisting with various tasks as needed.
Ideal candidates for this role possess strong technical skills, including familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; have the ability to multitask while paying close attention to detail; and excel at handling client requests and complaints with professionalism and diplomacy. The working environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to move, lift, and carry packages, making physical stamina important. This role offers competitive compensation ranging from $19.84 to $24.80 per hour, with potential eligibility for an annual bonus based on performance and other factors.

- minimum of 1 year work experience preferably as a receptionist
- previous experience in a client service field preferred
- ability to multitask with attention to detail
- ability to handle complaints with professionalism, patience, and diplomacy
- working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- ability to lift or move 40 lbs or greater
- ability to grasp, lift or carry packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of 75 lbs
- ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand or sit for an extended period of time
- preferred shift 8:30-5:30

Job Duties
- Work closely with the client's staff to assist with front office
- answer incoming telephone calls and forward to the appropriate person
- take accurate and complete messages for those who are unavailable
- promptly greet and announce visitors in a friendly and business-like manner
- maintain a neat and organized reception desk and front lobby area
- order and stock supplies as needed
- perform other administrative duties as requested
