The position available is a Front Desk Receptionist role, pivotal in maintaining excellent client and visitor interactions while managing a variety of administrative and operational tasks. The successful candidate will be the initial point of contact for all visitors and clients, ensuring they are greeted warmly and directed appropriately to staff or scheduled activities. This role involves handling incoming telephone calls professionally, screening and transferring calls to the correct personnel, taking messages, and managing voicemail. A vital part of the role is verifying Medi-Cal eligibility for telephone intakes, demonstrating the organization's engagement with health and community services.
Beyond telephone and visitor management, the receptionist will assist staff, auditors, and guests with the reservation of counseling and community rooms. The role extends to answering inquiries regarding the organization, providing program information, and ensuring proper handling of all incoming packages from UPS, FedEx, Office Depot, Amazon, and more. Additionally, the candidate will support various community events, manage equipment reservations, and coordinate with finance departments regarding deposits and receipts.
Technical support tasks also form part of the responsibilities, including troubleshooting office equipment and liaising with maintenance contractors. The job entails coverage during evening parenting classes by monitoring sign-in sheets and managing the issuance of keys, gas cards, and maintaining related logs. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and rotating Saturdays, is a necessary attribute for this role, highlighting its dynamic and responsive nature.

Job Duties
- Greet all incoming visitors and clients, directing them to the appropriate staff or activities
- Answer incoming telephone calls, screen and determine purpose of callers, and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department
- Take messages, email or transfer calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable
- Verify Medi-Cal eligibility for telephone intakes
- Assist staff, auditors and guests with reservation of counseling rooms and community rooms
- Answer questions about organization and provide callers with address, directions, and other program information
- Handle all incoming UPS/Fed Ex/Office Depot/Amazon packages and give to correspondent
- Assist with LCP events or community activities, MPR equipment, and answering questions regarding event dates, applications, event deposits and receipts to client and finance department
- Assist with office equipment issues and contact maintenance contractors
- Provide front desk coverage during evening parenting classes including monitoring sign-in sheets and overseeing issuance of van and storage keys, as well as gas card issuance and logging
- Assist the admin supervisor, directors and staff with administrative functions
- Maintain flexibility with work schedule, including evening and rotating Saturdays
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Assist Guest Services Reception area and provide pack up when necessary
