Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of demonstrated work experience in office clerical and/or administrative support position using Microsoft Office including Outlook
- Knowledge of public and business administration principles and methods
- Knowledge of office management principles, practices, and procedures
- Ability to think clearly and analyze problems for effective action
- Ability to handle sensitive materials and confidential assignments with tact and diplomacy
- Ability to resolve complaints, make inquiries, and correspond with staff, regulatory agencies, customers, employees, and community members
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and/or weekends
Job Qualifications

- Knowledge of office management principles, practices, and procedures
- Ability to think clearly and analyze organizational and management issues
- Ability to handle sensitive materials and confidential assignments with tact and diplomacy
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including composing and editing
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and/or weekends
Job Duties
- Answer multi-line telephones and route messages in a timely and accurate manner
- Receive guests of TANF site in a polite, friendly, and helpful manner and respond to inquiries regarding TANF procedures and services
- Receive information and documents on behalf of the site and route them timely and accurately
- Provide clerical and administrative support to ensure efficient, accurate and timely completion of assigned duties
- Assist in maintenance of site database including data entry
- Perform mail management including routing, stamping, and logging incoming and outgoing mail
- Operate office equipment such as computer, scanner, calculator, copier, and fax
- Facilitate communication between staff members including locating personnel
- Assist in scheduling locations for staff meetings
- Support Family Advocates and Site Managers in planning and implementing client activities and events
- Work collaboratively in a team environment
- Complete Eligibility Questionnaire forms for potential participants and assist TANF participants with intake packets
- Maintain the lobby by keeping board postings and event calendars up to date
- Adjust schedule as needed to support TANF events
- Perform other duties as assigned
