Job Description
Carolina Outreach is a well-established behavioral health organization that has been serving children, families, and adults across North Carolina since 2003. The company is dedicated to addressing the behavioral health needs of the community, offering a wide range of comprehensive and integrative behavioral health services. Carolina Outreach is staffed by highly trained behavioral health professionals who strive to promote the emotional and physical well-being of their clients within a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. The organization's approach is equitable and inclusive, focusing on the strengths of individuals to help them achieve the highest quality of life. Their services cater to people of all ages and varying levels of need, reflecting their commitment to accessibility and comprehensive care.
The role at Carolina Outreach is for a full-time Receptionist who will be a vital part of the team, supporting the organization's mission to provide therapy, crisis support, and service coordination to mental health clients. The Receptionist will perform diverse administrative and office support tasks to assist multiple staff members. Key responsibilities include managing a multi-line phone system, scheduling doctor appointments, maintaining client charts, and welcoming and directing clients and staff. The role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth and efficient front desk operations and creating a positive first impression for clients and visitors. In addition to traditional receptionist duties, the position involves word processing, creating and managing spreadsheets and databases, and the accurate filing and maintenance of client files.
Compensation for this role ranges from $16.09 to $20.66 per hour and is commensurate with the candidate's licensure level, education, and experience. Carolina Outreach emphasizes a supportive work environment where clinicians and staff members are not overloaded, affording employees flexibility to shape their schedules and maintain a manageable caseload. Working at Carolina Outreach offers a chance to grow within a stable, mission-driven organization that values both professional development and personal well-being.
Employees benefit from a competitive benefits package that includes consumer-driven health plan coverage through Anthem, wellness support via the Sydney app providing 24/7 access to medical professionals, options for Health Savings Accounts (HSA), Flex Spending Accounts (FSA), dental and vision plans, paid time off, and retirement programs administered by Empower. Additional benefits include financial planning services, voluntary supplemental insurance plans, educational assistance, licensure residency programs for clinical staff, and career advancement opportunities. As an equal opportunity employer, Carolina Outreach ensures a drug-free workplace and supports reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Employment is contingent upon successful background checks and eligibility verification. This role offers a meaningful career opportunity for individuals who are compassionate, organized, and committed to supporting behavioral health in their community.
