The Receptionist position at Exos is a vital frontline role that combines exceptional customer service with operational support to create a seamless experience for fitness center members. The ideal candidate for this part-time or full-time role will be enthusiastic, personable, and organized, capable of handling a variety of administrative and member service tasks with professionalism and a positive attitude. Work locations include California, Colorado, New York, and Washington, with pay ranging from $17.00 to $22.00 per hour depending on factors such as location, specialty, certifications, and experience.

In this role, the Receptionist serves as the welcoming face of the fitness center, responsible for greeting members, assisting with membership enrollment, and managing front desk operations. Coordination with the Manager is crucial to ensure payroll accuracy, while additional duties include supporting financial tracking efforts, maintaining inventory and service programs such as locker and towel services, and preparing monthly membership reports. Responding promptly and professionally to member concerns, suggestions, and complaints is an integral part of maintaining high satisfaction levels among clientele. Beyond direct member interactions, the Receptionist will assist with maintaining cleanliness and stock levels throughout the fitness center, fostering an environment conducive to health and wellness.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma obtained
  • Basic knowledge of Google and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to obtain CPR/FA certifications within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to work in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills
  • Previous experience in a customer service role preferred

Job Duties

  • Consistently offer the highest level of personalized member customer service while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic and helpful attitude
  • Greet and welcome new fitness center members, assist with membership enrollment and front desk operations
  • Coordinate with Manager to ensure accurate payroll
  • Assist and provide information for financial tracking reports
  • Assist and maintain accurate tracking of locker and towel service program and inventory items
  • Assist with accurate fitness center membership reports and complete monthly membership audits
  • Respond to member's concerns, suggestions and complaints in a timely, professional and consistent manner
  • Assist with keeping the fitness centers well stocked and clean
  • Perform other duties as needed
