Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital is a physician-owned healthcare facility located in Lubbock, Texas, specializing in the care of cardiac, orthopedic, nephrology, urology, and general medical patients. The hospital is a highly active inpatient center primarily focused on surgical procedures including cardiothoracic, orthopedic, urology, and general surgery. With a 24-hour Emergency Department, the hospital features 5 fully equipped ED rooms, 4 operating rooms, 4 cardiac catheterization labs including 1 electrophysiology room, 11-day surgery rooms, 58 acute care beds across three units, and 16 cardiac critical care rooms. The role available is for a dedicated Distribution Clerk to join the Lubbock Heart team. This position is full-time with a Monday through Friday schedule, offering a structured and consistent workweek. The Distribution Clerk plays a vital role in the smooth operation of the hospital by managing the receipt, check-in, inventory, and distribution of supplies essential to the hospital's functioning. Key responsibilities include assisting with the receiving of all incoming supplies, signing bills of lading, entering receiving information into the hospital management system, and ensuring the timely delivery of supplies to various hospital floors. Additional duties involve assisting with the shipping of equipment for repairs, maintaining compliance with storeroom policies including fire code and cleaning requirements, and managing periodic departmental supply requests promptly. This position requires physical stamina and strength, as it demands lifting heavy loads and standing or walking for extended periods while also engaging in occasional sitting, crouching, and kneeling. Excellent communication skills and cognitive abilities related to math, reading, filing, decision-making, and English proficiency are essential for success in this role. - 1-2 years' experience in material management in a hospital
- Able to lift 30 - 75 pounds using proper lifting techniques several times during shift

- Able to read, write and communicate in English
- Have cognitive skills for math, reading, filing, decision making and excellent communication skills

Job Duties
- Assist with receiving of all incoming supplies for the hospital
- Sign the bill of lading for all supplies received
- Assist with checking in of all equipment
- Assist with entering all receiving into the HMS system
- Assist with the shipping out of all repairs
- Assist with inventorying par areas and delivering of supplies to floors
- Ensure timely response to departmental periodic supply request
- Comply with policy and procedure for storeroom requirements including fire code requirements, cleaning of the storeroom
