As part of CRH, a global leader in building materials, the company champions safety, empowerment, and the development of its employees, striving to maintain a culture that emphasizes integrity, mutual respect, innovation, service, sustainability, and financial strength. CRH’s decentralized and diversified operational structure allows employees to benefit from the intimate culture of a smaller company while enjoying the extensive career advancement opportunities offered by a large international organization.

The company is recognized as The Preferred Source for a variety of construction materials and services, and with its commitment to safety and quality, Idaho Materials & Construction ensures that both commercial and residential clients receive superior products and support. The company maintains an inclusive work environment that values growth, development, and internal promotion, offering competitive pay along with comprehensive health and retirement benefits.

The Ready Mix Driver role is a crucial position within Idaho Materials & Construction, centrally involved in the delivery of ready-mixed concrete to various job sites safely and efficiently. This position demands operating ready mix trucks in a professional manner, both within the plant yard and on public highways or roads, ensuring that concrete deliveries are made punctually and in accordance with client specifications. The driver must be adept at maneuvering the vehicle to align with plant equipment and job site requirements, as well as operate chutes and mixers to deliver concrete accurately at the designated locations.

Beyond the safe operation of specialized equipment, this role requires performing thorough pre- and post-trip inspections to guarantee vehicle safety and compliance. The driver is responsible for ensuring equipment cleanliness and maintenance, preventing concrete hardening on or inside the truck, and verifying that the concrete mix complies with specifications at the loading plant and job site. The role demands strong teamwork abilities, excellent judgment, customer service capabilities, and the adaptability to respond to changing work conditions and schedules.

Physical demands inherent to the role include lifting and carrying heavy materials up to 75 pounds, climbing on and around equipment, and the ability to work in challenging outdoor environments with exposure to varied weather and noise levels. Safety and professionalism are paramount, and the driver must consistently demonstrate dependability, punctuality, initiative, and a commitment to quality in all work tasks.

Idaho Materials & Construction offers a supportive and growth-oriented work environment, complete with comprehensive medical, dental, and disability insurance, a group retirement savings program, and health and wellness initiatives to support employee well-being. The company strongly encourages interested individuals seeking a rewarding career challenge in construction and transportation to apply, joining a respected team that values diverse backgrounds and equal employment opportunity for all qualified candidates.
