The role of Ready-Mix Driver at Mack Industries is a critical position responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of ready-mix concrete to job sites. This role requires the driver to work independently, managing the entire delivery process from hauling to unloading concrete. Essential tasks include the operation and assembly of concrete chutes, controlling mechanical functions of the mixer truck, and adhering strictly to contractor specifications to ensure quality delivery. The position demands a high level of attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols, including compliance with federal and state regulations. Drivers are expected to perform daily inspections of their vehicles, maintain mileage logs, and communicate any maintenance needs promptly. The job also involves routine cleaning and upkeep of the mixer truck to prevent concrete buildup and ensure operational efficiency.

This year-round, local travel position offers a competitive starting wage of $22 to $30 per hour, with potential for higher earnings based on experience. Mack Industries values experienced candidates and promotes flexibility in scheduling to accommodate changes in location or shift times. The role requires physical stamina, as it involves standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 75 pounds regularly in varying weather conditions typical of construction environments. Safety gear such as hard hats, safety vests, safety toe boots, and safety glasses must be worn at all times while loading or unloading.
