Crossroads Church is a dynamic and expanding multi-site, interdenominational church with its current locations in Ohio and Kentucky and ambitious plans for future growth into other cities. Embracing a vibrant online presence, Crossroads serves thousands of people beyond its physical sites, reaching a global audience through digital platforms. The ReachOut Coordinator (ROC) plays a pivotal role in furthering this mission by executing ReachOut initiatives at designated sites. These initiatives include impactful community endeavors such as the Thanksgiving Food Drive and the Christmas Gift Drive, along with other site-specific serving opportunities identified in collaboration with ReachOut leadership and site Community Pastors. The ROC is entrusted not only with overseeing these events but also with the vital tasks of volunteer training, development, and equipping. Volunteers are the backbone of ReachOut efforts, and the ROC ensures they are prepared in all aspects of ReachOut products and processes. In addition to volunteer management, the ROC contributes to the planning, design, and evaluation of ReachOut products, ensuring that every event aligns with the church’s values and operational standards.

This position requires a unique blend of project management skills and a collaborative spirit. The ROC must coordinate closely with the National ReachOut team, Community Pastors, site teams, and multiple site ministries including Engagement, Connections, and Facilities. Responsibilities extend beyond event oversight to include logistics such as facility use, parking, safety measures including uniformed officers, shipment reception, storage, and event decoration. Managing resources and coordinating gifts, boxes, and other assets are integral to executing initiatives successfully. The role demands excellent communication, organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail to ensure seamless event execution.

Physically, the ROC should be prepared for active work environments, including walking up to five miles and handling physical tasks like lifting up to 25 pounds. The role is part-time with an expected commitment of 30 hours per week but may necessitate flexible schedules during key initiative periods such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. Opportunities for remote work exist for preparatory and administrative tasks.
