Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field or equivalent training and/or experience
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in rapid re-housing programs
- At least 2 years of management and supervisory experience in rapid re-housing programs
- Proven program oversight and contract compliance experience
- Knowledge of clinical and safety assessment and planning
- Experience with data management systems
- Proficiency with MS Office suite
- Flexible schedule including availability for evenings and weekends
- Reliable transportation to office and other sites
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field or equivalent combination of training and/or experience
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience working in rapid re-housing programs
- Minimum 2 years of management, supervisory, and leadership experience in rapid re-housing programs
- Proven success in program oversight and contract compliance
- Knowledge and skill in clinical/safety assessment, intervention, and safety planning
- Experience with data management systems
- Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Motivational interviewing skills
- Experience working through a trauma-informed lens with clients facing barriers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills including conflict resolution
- Ability to flexibly respond to a fluid program environment
- Ability to work both independently and as a team leader
- Self-starter with strong decision-making skills
Job Duties
- Supervise the staff for day-to-day operations in both programs
- Schedule at minimum weekly supervision to accomplish job results by coaching and mentoring
- Regularly hold staff meetings to ensure clear and timely communication
- Participate in meetings as needed or as directed by the Senior Director
- Appropriately manage employee escalations and document interactions in Paycom database system
- Maintain employee performance records in Paycom database system, provide regular coaching, and feedback discussions
- Complete employee 90-day reviews for new hires and ongoing annual reviews for all direct reports in Paycom in a timely manner
- Utilize Paycom to approve punch change requests for direct reports, verify regular timecard completion, and approve timecards at the end of each pay period
- Manage expenditures and grant reporting for both programs
- Work closely with Case Managers regarding project spenddowns and ensure accuracy with program payments and timely submissions of Request For Payment packets
- Collaborate with Arlington Community Resource Center to coordinate system for housing case management and referrals
- Develop strong relationships with property owners/landlords to facilitate client placement into permanent housing
- Assess training needs for Case Managers and Admin Staff
- Oversee the FCS program and assist with client eligibility determination and billing
- Assist Case Managers with case analysis for interventions and referrals
- Develop and implement systems and best practices to support employees
- Maintain a friendly and professional relationship with staff, clients, volunteers, and landlords
- Ensure staff compliance with all program policies, safety, and confidentiality requirements
- Work with VOAWW leadership to identify program improvements
- Adhere to Agency's code of ethics and confidentiality regulations
- Assist Case Managers with maintaining accurate client records in HMIS within required timelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
