Job Description

Volunteers of America Western Washington (VOAWW) is a long-standing non-profit organization that has been serving the Western Washington community for over 125 years. Rooted in Christian values, VOAWW is dedicated to putting faith into action by providing compassionate support and services to individuals and families in need. The organization prides itself on embracing unique perspectives and lived experiences, which enable it to better serve the diverse population of the region, uplift the community, and foster a strong, supportive environment among staff and volunteers. VOAWW is officially recognized as a CARE trauma-informed organization, highlighting its commitment to trauma-sensitive care and client-centered service delivery.

VOAWW offers a full-time position for a Rapid Re-housing (RRH) Program Manager, a vital role tasked with overseeing staff and operations for two key programs: the Rehoming & Retention program and the Encampment Resolution Program. Both programs are designed with a client-centered, housing-first approach that incorporates trauma-informed practices and comprehensive case management to support clients' transition into stable housing. The RRH Program Manager leads a team consisting of a Case Manager Lead, Case Managers, and Administrative Support Specialists. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring that all staff are adequately trained and equipped with the necessary methods for effective case management, conducting weekly supervision and staff meetings, and maintaining detailed documentation in the Paycom system.

In addition to supervising program staff, the RRH Program Manager manages program expenditures and grant reporting to ensure financial accountability and compliance. The position requires close collaboration with community partners and landlords to facilitate smooth client placements into safe, affordable, and permanent housing situations. The manager also works alongside Case Managers to review client cases, assess training needs for staff, and develop systems and best practices to enhance program effectiveness. The role demands strong communication skills, leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to program development and continuous improvement.

The position typically follows a Monday through Friday schedule but may require occasional evening or weekend hours depending on program needs. A reliable form of transportation is essential for travel to the VOAWW Everett office, program sites, and community meetings. The organization offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including vacation and sick leave, paid holidays, medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts for medical and dependent care, a free employee assistance program, retirement plan matching, and professional development opportunities. This role provides a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of individuals and families experiencing housing instability, while working within a supportive and mission-driven organization committed to equity and inclusion.
