Job Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma
- Prior experience in laboratory setting
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Forms
- Ability to perform accurate data entry and analysis
- Knowledge of laboratory safety and equipment calibration
- Ability to handle physical lifting up to 50 lbs
Job Duties
- Sample preparation and analysis including measuring, heating, mixing, cooling, packaging, labeling, and storage
- Supporting shelf-life testing by preparing samples, documenting results, submitting testing requests, and cleaning up
- Managing inventory of ingredients and chemicals including ordering and logging disposals
- Assisting in pilot plant trials with mixing, labeling, packing, shipping, and conducting benchtop analytical testing
- Maintaining lab organization including cleaning, calibrating balances, creating maintenance work orders, and performing safety checks
- Managing specification records for materials, formulas, and trade items including updating and requesting approvals
- Performing graphics reviews to verify nutrition facts panels and product information
- Accurately entering and analyzing data using Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
- Converting units of measurement, calculating averages, and scaling up formulations
