This role is highly hands-on, requiring the successful candidate to take concepts through to full-scale commercialization in a high-volume production environment, all while preserving the authentic artisan quality that defines Bridor's products. The R&D Baker Tourier Specialist will focus primarily on developing laminated doughs, croissants, Viennese pastries, and artisan breads, translating traditional baking techniques into scalable industrial processes to ensure consistent and premium results.
The position demands close collaboration with multiple departments including Operations, Quality, Purchasing, and Finance to align product development with cost, efficiency, and performance objectives. Additionally, the specialist will lead plant trials, scale-ups, and product launches, contributing technical expertise to enhance production outcomes. Conducting tastings, evaluating product performance, and documenting technical findings are integral parts of the role to continuously drive innovation and improve bakery products.
Staying current on emerging ingredient trends, bakery innovations, and process improvements will be essential for success in this role. Job Requirements
- Degree or diploma in baking, pastry arts, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in bakery, R&D, or food manufacturing
- Hands-on experience with Viennese and French-style pastries in a production or scale-up environment
- Expertise in laminated dough systems such as croissants and puff pastry
- Experience with industrial bakery equipment and production lines
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to relocate to Salt Lake City, Utah
- Availability for day shift with flexibility during trials and launches
- Willingness to travel within the U.S. and occasionally to Canada
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
