Job Description

Bridor North America is a recognized leader in the premium bakery industry, known for its commitment to artisan craftsmanship combined with advanced industrial baking processes. The company is expanding its operations and opening a new Industrial Baking Facility in Salt Lake City, Utah, a city that has quickly become a vibrant food manufacturing hub due to its strategic location and growing economic opportunities. Bridor is dedicated to bringing high-quality, authentic French and Viennese bakery products to large-scale production, making it a sought-after workplace for professionals looking to innovate while maintaining artisanal traditions. This opportunity reflects Bridor's focus on melding classical baking techniques with efficient, scalable industrial methods, ensuring that the quality and heritage of their products are never compromised in high-volume manufacturing settings.

The role of the R&D Baker Tourier Specialist is pivotal within Bridor North America's expansion plans. Located at the new Salt Lake City facility, this position is a hands-on, dynamic opportunity requiring direct involvement with the entire product development lifecycle—from initial concept through full-scale commercialization. The specialist will focus on developing laminated doughs, croissants, Viennese pastries, and artisan breads, applying traditional techniques in an industrial context and ensuring that every product retains its authentic artisan quality despite mass production. This is not a bench-only job; it involves leading and supporting plant trials, scaling up production processes, and launching new products within a busy manufacturing environment. The specialist will collaborate with multiple departments including Operations, Quality, Purchasing, and Finance to meet targets related to cost-efficiency and performance, highlighting the role's strategic importance within the company.

Professionals joining Bridor North America in this role will benefit from working in a highly innovative environment that values both tradition and technology. Salt Lake City offers an attractive combination of a lower cost of living and a high quality of life, making it an excellent place for candidates seeking a balance between professional growth and personal well-being. The role requires relocation to Salt Lake City, making it a unique chance for candidates to integrate into a dynamic, growing food manufacturing community and make a tangible impact from the ground up. Travel within the U.S. and occasional trips to Canada will be part of the job, further broadening the scope of influence and experience. Overall, this position is ideal for experienced R&D bakers who specialize in laminated dough systems and seek to advance their careers with a company that values innovation, quality, and artisan heritage on an industrial scale.
