This hiring opportunity is for the position of Ramp Operations Supervisor based in Seattle, USA, a full-time on-site role with a salary ranging from $78,000 to $83,000 annually. The Ramp Operations Supervisor role is integral to maintaining smooth ground-level operations related to aircraft catering and loading. This is a high-visibility, hands-on leadership role that demands proactive engagement with the operations floor, managing teams, driving optimal performance, and resolving real-time operational challenges efficiently. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments and brings with them more than two years of progressive leadership experience in distribution, logistics, or similar sectors.

Key responsibilities of the Ramp Operations Supervisor include overseeing all ramp activities such as loading and unloading catering supplies, managing personnel schedules, and ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations, including those mandated by OSHA, FAA, and TSA. The role demands conducting safety inspections and training, coordinating with flight and catering teams for timely aircraft loading, and continuously optimizing ramp efficiency and equipment utilization. Decision-making and problem resolution are pivotal elements, with the supervisor expected to maintain accurate records and collaborate extensively with other departments to secure smooth operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Leadership is a key component of this position. The supervisor will motivate and develop staff, uphold company values and management principles, manage productivity and costs, and engage actively in company initiatives such as Quality, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety, and Production systems. Candidates should have strong communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills, along with proficiency in workforce management scheduling and basic Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with managing union or hourly workforces is also important.

This is a 24/7 facility, requiring candidates to be flexible with their schedules. The company values candidates who demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines, and possess a valid drivers license with the capability to operate ground service equipment. Additional preferred skills include prior experience in airline catering or aviation logistics, labor control and forecasting expertise, and competencies in incident reporting, compliance, and documentation to support thorough operational oversight.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive leadership experience in distribution, logistics, or related fields

Job Duties
