Job Description
The hiring company is focused on providing reliable and safe transportation services specifically tailored for the railroad industry in Cincinnati, OH. The company plays an integral role in supporting national rail operations by ensuring that railroad crew members are transported safely and punctually to their destinations, including trains, rail yards, and lodging facilities. This company is committed to fostering a safety-first culture and values professionalism, punctuality, and adherence to safety standards in every aspect of their work. With a reputation for reliability and an independent work environment, the company encourages candidates who are dependable and eager to contribute meaningfully to critical transportation logistics.
This role is for a railroad transportation driver who will operate company-provided vehicles to transport railroad crews in a timely and safe manner. Available as either a full-time or part-time position, the compensation for this role is $16.00 per hour with payments made biweekly. The role offers flexible scheduling options, making it suitable for a variety of candidates seeking work-life balance. The driver will be entrusted with responsibilities that involve ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local traffic laws while maintaining professional and courteous interaction with passengers.
The position demands a diligent, safety-conscious individual who can work independently while managing multiple transportation assignments. Drivers will perform vehicle inspections both before and after trips, report any mechanical issues to management, and maintain confidentiality of company and customer information. Successfully filling this role means becoming a key part of a logistics team that supports railroad operational efficiency and safety. Candidates must be able to pass stringent background, driving record, and drug screening checks to ensure eligibility.
The company offers additional benefits including paid training, company-provided vehicle usage during trips, biweekly direct deposit, and opportunities for additional trips based on demand volume. Employees will be expected to meet ongoing compliance and qualification standards set by the company, railroad customers, and insurance providers. This role suits individuals who appreciate straightforward duties, value safety and reliability, and want to be part of a vital service that supports national rail infrastructure. Alternate job titles for this position include railroad transportation driver, crew transport driver, transportation specialist, shuttle driver, professional driver, and fleet driver. With emphasis on defensive driving, GPS navigation, and a thorough understanding of transportation services, this role is ideal for candidates looking to excel in the non-CDL commercial driving sector.
