Job Description

This role is critical in ensuring compliance with departmental procedures related to life safety, fire and hazardous waste management, Radiation Safety, and Infection Control. The successful candidate will perform a variety of radiologic procedures including portables, emergency room work, trauma cases, fluoroscopy in the operating room, and general radiology, adapting to the needs of different departments efficiently. The position demands a courteous and positive demeanor, fostering excellent communication with coworkers and guests alike, and a strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service internally and externally. Responsibilities also include maintaining work areas by reporting equipment maintenance issues, monitoring supply levels, and handling department-specific paperwork. The role involves active participation in clinical activities to enhance patient flow and throughput, especially through involvement with the Radiology Ambassador team. Timekeeping compliance and regular attendance at staff meetings are essential to support departmental initiatives and maintain informed teamwork.

Job Requirements

  • Graduate of an AMA approved Radiology Technologist Program
  • Registry eligible
  • NJDEP license required upon hire
  • ARRT certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • Patient care and safe handling training
  • Experience preferred in general, portable, ED, trauma, fluoroscopy, and pediatrics radiology.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in patient care and safe handling
  • Preferred experience in general radiology, portable radiology, emergency department, trauma, fluoroscopy, and pediatrics.

Job Duties

  • Adhere to departmental procedures and comply with life safety, fire and hazardous waste, radiation safety, and infection control requirements
  • Perform radiologic procedures including portables, emergency room, trauma, fluoroscopy in the operating room, and general radiology as needed
  • Demonstrate courteous behavior and positive attitude through polite communication with coworkers and guests
  • Maintain work areas by reporting equipment maintenance issues, monitoring supplies and deficiencies, and maintaining paperwork specific to each department
  • Participate in clinical activities to assist patient flow and optimize throughput via the Radiology Ambassador team
  • Ensure compliance with timekeeping rules avoiding early, late, and unauthorized entries
  • Attend more than 80 percent of staff meetings to stay informed and support initiatives.
