The Radiology Manager - Medical Imaging position is a full-time day shift role, primarily Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, designed for a seasoned professional with strong leadership skills and a deep knowledge of radiology operations. This exempt role demands expertise in managing the day-to-day functions of all Imaging departments, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality patient care while complying with rigorous accreditation and licensing standards. The manager works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, hospital staff, and external agencies to uphold service excellence and spearhead continuous improvements in imaging technology and procedure implementation.

This leadership role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including operational management, budgeting, staffing, policy development, compliance oversight, and strategic planning. Key accountabilities involve facilitating the hiring, training, and evaluation of associates; developing and managing departmental budgets; monitoring adherence to policies and procedures; and driving new imaging modality integration system-wide. The Radiology Manager is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing clinical quality standards while ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal regulations. They also act as a problem-solver and liaison in complex associate relations, and engage in marketing strategy development pertinent to clinical radiology services. This role offers the opportunity to impact health outcomes significantly through effective management of imaging services within a large, respected health system. The position prioritizes strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills along with proficiency in relevant technology platforms such as Microsoft Office. Ideal candidates will bring a blend of healthcare education, radiology certifications, and at least five years of combined experience in radiology operations and leadership.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health-care related field or equivalent combination of education and radiology experience required
  • Current certification in at least one of the Radiology Technology disciplines required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Radiology
  • Minimum of 2 years radiology leadership experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Analytical skills for independent problem solving and report preparation
  • Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a health-care related field or equivalent combination of education and radiology experience
  • Current certification in at least one Radiology Technology discipline
  • Multiple certifications preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Radiology
  • Minimum of 2 years radiology leadership experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Analytical skills for report preparation and policy recommendations
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of all Imaging departments
  • Plan, direct and manage cost effective patient care to assure compliance with standards, policies, procedures and budgets
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care through appropriate staffing, supplies and equipment in compliance with accreditation and licensing requirements
  • Develop, hire and evaluate assigned associates
  • Develop and analyze operational and revenue budgets for all Imaging departments
  • Collaborate with the Director to develop short and long term capital budget requirements for all Radiology departments
  • Plan and administer management and delivery of departmental services in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards
