Established to provide exceptional healthcare, the organization operates several acute-care hospitals including a Level II Trauma Center and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) maternity unit. Beyond these hospitals, NorthBay Health also runs a dedicated cancer center, multiple urgent care locations, and an expanding network of primary and specialty care clinics. The health system is renowned for delivering advanced and comprehensive services in fields such as cardiovascular care, neuroscience, orthopedics, surgery, and various outpatient specialties. Nationally recognized for its quality of care, NorthBay Health has earned distinctions including the Magnet with Distinction designation for nursing excellence and numerous high-performing ratings by U.S. News and World Report. Committed to its vision of being the trusted healthcare partner of choice, NorthBay Health focuses on ensuring accessible, high-quality care while fostering an environment where employees can grow, contribute meaningfully, and engage with the community. The organization emphasizes core values known as True North Values — nurturing care, ownership, respect, trust-building, and a commitment to excellence — which shape the culture and guide the delivery of compassionate healthcare.

This weekend per diem position seeks qualified Radiation Therapists who will play a critical role in delivering focused, high-quality radiation treatments to patients, primarily those undergoing cancer therapy. A Radiation Therapist at NorthBay Health uses state-of-the-art ionizing radiation equipment to administer precise therapeutic doses of radiation as prescribed by physicians. The role demands accuracy, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team. You will be tasked with delivering radiation treatments to targeted body areas, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout, and documenting treatment details meticulously. Your responsibilities include operating radiation-producing equipment, monitoring patient reactions during therapy sessions, and maintaining comprehensive records of treatment parameters and patient responses. This position supports NorthBay Health's dedication to clinical excellence and patient-centered care by working alongside physicians, dosimetrists, and medical physicists to optimize treatment outcomes. The role offers an hourly salary range of $82.69 to $99.70, which includes a 10% per diem differential, reflecting the specialized skill set required and the weekend schedule. This opportunity is ideal for professionals seeking flexible weekend hours while contributing to a meaningful cause within a dynamic healthcare setting. NorthBay Health's structured compensation and benefits package further supports staff with competitive pay, ongoing development opportunities, and a caring work environment dedicated to employee well-being and professional growth.
