As a Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) at Dignity Health - St. Joseph's Medical Center, you will play an essential role in pediatric diagnostic imaging. Your expertise will be critical in producing accurate diagnostic images that are tailored specifically for children, ensuring that physicians can diagnose and manage conditions effectively. This role demands a specialized knowledge of pediatric imaging techniques and a compassionate approach to working with young patients and their families, creating a reassuring and positive experience during medical procedures.
On a daily basis, you will be responsible for performing various imaging examinations including X-rays, ultrasounds, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT scans, and MRI scans for pediatric patients. You will also be focused on applying child-friendly workflows, utilizing age-appropriate patient positioning, and capturing precise imaging results that are vital for timely and reliable diagnoses in children. Your role is critical in not only technical execution but also in protecting the dignity and comfort of pediatric patients through respectful and sensitive interaction.
The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $56.20 to $65.16 and includes a significant $10,000 sign-on bonus for new hires, designed to attract skilled professionals dedicated to pediatric radiology. Current employees are not eligible for the sign-on bonus but may benefit from a referral bonus. Job Requirements
- Graduate of a radiology program
- Minimum 5 years prior experience as a Rad Tech
- CA Rad Tech license
- Basic Life Support - CPR certified
- Skilled in fluoroscopy
Job Qualifications
- Graduate of a radiology program

- High school graduate or general studies preferred
- Associate degree preferred
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT preferred

Job Duties
- Perform X-rays, ultrasounds, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT scans, and MRIs on pediatric patients
- Create a comforting and positive experience for children and their families
- Apply child-friendly workflow and age-appropriate patient positioning
- Ensure accurate and precise diagnostic images for timely pediatric diagnoses
- Respect and maintain patient and family rights
- Allow privacy and modesty during care
- Report suspected cases of abuse or neglect
