Job Description
We are a leading manufacturing company specializing in the development and production of topical over-the-counter (OTC) formulations. With a strong focus on quality, innovation, and regulatory compliance, our company operates a state-of-the-art research and development (R&D) laboratory dedicated to creating effective and safe products for consumer use. Our dynamic team of formulation chemists, quality control specialists, and laboratory technicians collaborate to ensure that every product not only meets but exceeds industry standards. We maintain rigorous processes and adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) to guarantee product efficacy and safety across all stages of development and manufacturing.
The Stability Technician role is a critical position within our R&D team, responsible for performing comprehensive stability studies on various product formulations supplied by our experienced formulation chemists. This role involves meticulous testing of key product attributes such as appearance, color, odor, pH, viscosity, and density, alongside other essential analytical analyses tailored to the specific needs of each formulation. The technician plays an integral part in monitoring product stability, identifying any deviations or quality concerns early, and informing the formulation team promptly to enable timely corrective actions.
Moreover, the Stability Technician manages the inventory of all development and approved raw materials, ensuring precise documentation of Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), Technical Data Sheets (TDS), and Certificates of Analysis (COA). This role demands rigorous attention to detail to maintain accurate records that support compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal quality standards. Additionally, the technician prepares and submits sample prototypes, taking special care to package and document shipments correctly to meet both internal and external requirements.
Working within a cGMP-regulated laboratory environment, the Stability Technician performs critical standardization and calibration of laboratory and analytical instruments, ensuring each device operates within specified parameters for accurate and reliable testing results. The technician also conducts general laboratory duties, maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the work area, and adheres strictly to all safety policies. Participation in ongoing laboratory training programs is encouraged to stay current with evolving technologies, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Overall, this role is suited for a detail-oriented professional with basic analytical skills, a solid understanding of chemical principles, and familiarity with laboratory IT systems. Experience in a Quality or R&D laboratory setting is advantageous, as is knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as ICH and cGMP related to topical OTC manufacturing. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, the ability to handle multiple projects efficiently, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring chemist or technician to grow their expertise in product stability and development within a forward-thinking, quality-driven company.
