Job Description
TTM Technologies, Inc. is a publicly traded company listed on NASDAQ (TTMI) and is recognized as a top-5 global printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturer. The company excels in manufacturing advanced technology products spanning mission systems, radio frequency (RF) components, RF microwave/microelectronic assemblies, and printed circuit boards. As suggested by its name, TTM stands for time-to-market, a core principle representing the company's commitment to providing time-critical, one-stop design, engineering, and manufacturing services that empower customers to significantly reduce product development cycles and successfully bring innovative products to market faster. TTM Technologies operates globally with diverse manufacturing locations and leverages sophisticated proprietary software to enhance operational efficiency and deliver value to customers.
The role of Estimator at TTM Technologies is pivotal in supporting the company’s sales and manufacturing teams by generating accurate product cost estimates and quotes. The Estimator will develop the estimating program and produce detailed cost estimates based on manufacturing data, product scope, and technical requirements. This includes analyzing customer specifications such as RFQ/RFP documents, drawings, blueprints, bills of material, and historical data to calculate costs using labor and material pricing standards. The role demands close collaboration with departments such as manufacturing quality, engineering, purchasing, and suppliers to gather relevant data and produce preliminary cost curves for pricing decisions.
Estimators at TTM will also evaluate design changes, contract modifications, quality notes, and other factors that affect cost, ensuring these are incorporated into pricing. This position requires proficiency in managing bid packages, including accessing customer portals to retrieve data and verifying RFQ requirements. Effective communication with sales engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers is essential to determine technological feasibility, pricing parameters, and projected yields.
In addition to technical skills, the Estimator should possess strong verbal and written communication abilities and the capability to interface effectively with customers and technical representatives. The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $64,462 to $107,437 annually, with potential for bonuses and shift premiums depending on assignment. Employees receive comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401k, flexible spending accounts, paid vacation, and holidays. TTM fosters an inclusive environment respecting diversity and adheres strictly to export control policies and governmental regulations such as ITAR and EAR to ensure compliance and security.
This position is ideal for individuals with experience in manufacturing cost estimation, strong analytical skills, and the ability to operate in a dynamic, technology-driven company that values innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction. Candidates will gain exposure to cutting-edge manufacturing practices within a globally recognized organization committed to growth and operational excellence.
