The Food Runner position within Evolution Hospitality's full-service restaurant offers a unique role that blends customer service with operational efficiency. As a Food Runner, you are the vital link between the kitchen and the guests, ensuring that every meal is delivered timely and with a high standard of professionalism. This role involves close collaboration with servers to guarantee that food and beverages reach guests in excellent condition and that any requests are promptly addressed with enthusiasm. The Food Runner is integral in maintaining the flow of service, preparing orders accurately, and providing attentive service with a warm, engaging attitude. Candidates for this role should be comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and standing or walking for extended periods. Experience in an upscale restaurant, hotel, resort, or private club is preferred but not mandatory. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum one year experience in upscale restaurant, hotel, resort, or private club preferred
  • Certification in liquor, wine, and food service including Alcohol Awareness preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and maintain a professional appearance
  • Strong multitasking and communication skills
  • Must meet minimum age requirements and comply with responsible alcohol service standards
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand, walk, and perform other movements for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Address guests by name, observe and respond to requests, ensure service is complete
  • Assist servers with presenting menus, answering questions, making suggestions about food and beverage service
  • Prepare baskets with condiments and sides, confirm orders are accurate and presentable, serve to guests with a smile
  • Monitor supplies, maintain stock, keep kitchen and café areas clean and orderly, assist servers in keeping service areas tidy, collect and maintain baskets, relay kitchen times to servers and management
  • Stay informed about the menu, drinks, specials, and unavailable items
  • Complete daily and weekly checklists and perform other duties as assigned
