Job Description

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is a respected leader in the staffing industry with over 33 years of experience connecting talented individuals with reputable employers. Known for its dedication to the safety, health, and well-being of its associates, clients, and communities, Peoplelink remains committed to fostering diversity and equal employment opportunities. The company prides itself on linking communities through meaningful employment and maintaining an inclusive environment at all organizational levels. In partnership with a prominent plastic injection molding facility located in Rockford, Peoplelink is currently recruiting qualified candidates to join their team as Quality Inspectors, specifically taking on Quality Lead responsibilities on the 2nd and 3rd shifts. The facility is well-regarded in the manufacturing sector, specializing in high-quality plastic injection products that require rigorous inspection and quality assurance processes to meet industry standards and customer expectations.

The Quality Lead role is a critical position within the production process, entailing a blend of hands-on inspection duties and leadership tasks to ensure product compliance and facilitate quality control across shifts. This role offers a starting wage of $17 per hour, with a guaranteed increase following the successful completion of training. The shifts available are the 2nd shift from 2:00 pm to 10:20 pm and the 3rd shift from 10:00 pm to 6:20 am, with the 3rd shift beginning on Sunday night. The Quality Lead is responsible not only for performing detailed dimensional verification of production products using various metrology equipment and precision gauges but also for documenting all checks including dimensional, gauge SPC, and visual inspections against established standards such as Master Boundary Samples and Master Color plaques. Additionally, this role supports coordination with supervisors and process technicians to approve first and last shot parts, helping to maintain the consistency and quality of production runs.

Beyond inspection responsibilities, the Quality Lead will play a significant role in training and developing new hires, translating work instructions for personnel, ensuring the workforce can competently manage current and upcoming jobs, and conducting quality audits as directed by management. The position also involves maintaining accurate daily production data logs and documenting any quality issues identified on the production floor. This multifaceted role demands a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and lead a team. Candidates must be physically capable of lifting up to 25 pounds and able to stand and move efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a focus on safety. The employer encourages overtime when necessary to meet production demands and emphasizes a supportive environment that fosters growth and excellence.

Joining this team through Peoplelink means access to a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options. Additional perks include direct deposit payment programs with Visa Debit Cards and weekly pay schedules, highlighting the employer's commitment to employee convenience and welfare. This opportunity is ideal for skilled quality inspectors seeking to advance their careers in a dynamic, stable manufacturing setting while gaining leadership experience. Applicants who bring prior quality inspection experience and a commitment to safety will find a rewarding career path with this facility and Peoplelink Staffing Solutions, a company dedicated to diversity, inclusion, and community engagement in the staffing industry.
