Job Description
CADREX Manufacturing Solutions is a premier manufacturing company specializing in complex sheet metal and machined production parts, assemblies, and weldments. Serving a broad range of industries including electrical transmission and distribution, warehouse automation, technology, aerospace and defense, medical, food, and industrial sectors, CADREX is recognized for its advanced in-house capabilities. With multiple locations spanning across the United States and Monterrey, Mexico, the company excels in providing high-quality, mid- to high-volume production through sophisticated processes such as laser cutting, sheet metal fabrication, CNC punching, CNC machining, forming, robotic welding, stamping, fastener insertion, and tool and die manufacturing. The company fosters a culture rooted in core values of safety, collaboration, accountability, and integrity, while offering a diverse and inclusive workplace that complies with equal employment opportunity principles.
The role of Quality Technician II at CADREX is integral to supporting the company’s manufacturing quality initiatives. This position focuses on the development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes by applying quality principles, concepts, and methodologies. The primary goal is to consistently meet or exceed customer expectations regarding product quality. This full-time onsite position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule. It entails responsibilities such as verifying and releasing products for shipment by ensuring that all required production documentation, certifications, and customer-specific quality demands are accurate and complete. The Quality Technician II interprets and applies basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to support inspections and manufacturing activities, while conducting precise dimensional verification of Production Part Approval Processes (PPAPs), first article inspections (FAIs), and production parts to confirm adherence to specifications.
Additionally, the role supports production teams by troubleshooting quality concerns, interpreting manufacturing documentation, and coaching employees on proper measurement and inspection techniques. The technician performs technical inspections on raw materials and manufactured components including receiving inspections as per established standards. Responsibilities also involve data collection, analysis, and effective communication of quality metrics to aid in process improvements and strategic decision-making. The individual in this role prioritizes and coordinates inspection activities and tasks within the quality assurance lab to meet operational demands efficiently. Internal audits are conducted regularly to verify compliance with quality systems in processes, workmanship, dimensional conformance, and documentation.
Maintaining proficiency in all facets of the Quality Technician II role is essential to meeting stringent quality, accuracy, and productivity expectations. The technician also plays a vital role in training and mentoring new quality inspectors on daily operations, inspection methodologies, and quality procedures to ensure team competency and continuous quality enhancement. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage, employer-paid life insurance, short and long-term disability insurance, paid time off, holiday pay, a 401(k) plan with employer matching, education support, and more. CADREX’s work environment demands regular standing, sitting, and manual dexterity, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds and exposure to moderate noise and mechanical parts. Candidates who thrive here demonstrate strong communication, analytical skills, and a commitment to the company’s core values and quality standards.
