The Quality Specialist role at CWST is pivotal in maintaining the company's reputation for excellence by ensuring that all products, materials, and processes consistently meet or exceed quality standards and customer requirements. This full-time position offers an hourly wage between $21 and $23, dependent on the candidate's qualifications and experience. The specialist will perform meticulous inspections, tests, and quality audits to detect any defects or deviations, supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a sharp eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to quality, contributing not only to product excellence but also fostering safe, compliant production environments.

As a Quality Specialist, the individual will engage with a wide array of tasks that encompass inspecting raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods, utilizing various measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other testing equipment. They will document inspection outcomes accurately, uphold rigorous quality records, and support critical root cause analyses and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). The role also incorporates monitoring production processes, reviewing technical drawings and specifications, and assisting with both internal and external quality audits. Collaborating closely with production, engineering, and management teams, the Quality Specialist will contribute insights and recommendations to drive continuous quality improvements system-wide.

This position requires a high school diploma and at least one to two years of experience in quality control or manufacturing-related fields. A working knowledge of quality management systems, especially ISO 9001, is essential. Candidates should be proficient in reading blueprints and using quality documentation software to ensure all data and findings are presented clearly and accurately. A preferred qualification is GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) knowledge, which is advantageous in understanding and applying precise geometric controls to parts and assemblies.
