Offering full-time employment, Flowers Foods provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes health and medical coverage, 401(k) retirement savings plans, paid vacations, holidays, parental leave, and professional development opportunities, including leadership training. It's a workplace environment that nurtures growth, supports employee well-being, and values each individual's contribution to the company’s overarching success.
The role available is a critical position focused on managing all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance programs within an assigned bakery facility. This position carries significant responsibility for upholding the company’s quality and safety standards, including adherence to GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) guidelines. The leader in this role will govern the quality and food safety management processes, oversee audits and corrective actions, manage compliance programs, and ensure the production of products that consistently meet design specifications and customer expectations.
This food safety and quality manager will lead and inspire the site's quality and food safety team, promoting cross-departmental teamwork and collaboration. Responsibilities include maintaining logs of GMP audits, managing preventive controls, conducting root cause analyses, addressing physical, chemical, and biological safety concerns, and maintaining comprehensive quality documentation and records. Additionally, this role ensures regulatory inspection management, vendor compliance, fulfillment of food safety certification requirements, and supervision of product reviews and disposition procedures.
This challenging and rewarding position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of food quality assurance in a manufacturing environment, ideally with experience leading teams in a supervisory capacity.
