Job Requirements
- Vocational diploma in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or related discipline
- 4 to 5 years of overall work experience
- 1 to 2 years in a similar position
- Experience with laboratory and QC techniques
- Operational experience with analytical instruments
- Knowledge of chemical substances, hazardous material and local regulations
- Ability to perform sensory evaluations
- Good communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining safe and hygienic work environment
Job Qualifications
- Vocational diploma in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or related discipline
- University degree preferred
- 4 to 5 years of overall work experience
- 1 to 2 years in a similar quality control role
- Laboratory and/or QC techniques experience
- Operational experience with laboratory systems and analytical equipment
- Knowledge of chemical substances and hazardous material regulations
- Basics of sensory evaluation
Job Duties
- Log samples and sample flow within QC
- Retain sample management and sample flow
- Perform chemical, physical testing and sensory evaluation of products or incoming ingredients as identified by the current Givaudan specification for the item
- Enter test results into SAP timely resulting in an acceptance or rejection
- Communicate rejections and information updates to key contacts in Quality, Operations, Purchasing and Customer Care
- Perform basic equipment calibrations per frequency noted in calibration procedures
- Perform instruments, equipment and quality deviations troubleshooting in laboratory
- Identify opportunity for improvements in QC
- Maintain work in a hygienic and safe work environment
- Provide backup and support to team members as necessary
- Perform administrative tasks within QC
