This position involves a broad scope of responsibilities that include creating, interpreting, and understanding Weld Map Isometric drawings through computer software, entering inspection and welding data into tracking tools, assisting with pressure testing plans and his duties extend to assembling comprehensive project documentation packages. The Quality Inspector performs inspections based on detailed specifications, drawings, and procedures to ensure compliance and the highest standards are met. Conducting weld inspections and testing welders under various codes is also a critical element of this role, requiring certifications such as AWS CWI, ASNT VT II, or API 510/570. The role demands thorough knowledge of non-destructive testing methods like UT, MT, PT, and RT, along with familiarity with ASTM standards, mechanical equipment alignment verification, and stringent adherence to codes and standards including ASME, AWS, ACI, AISC, and NACE.

In addition to these technical skills, the role requires the ability to work collaboratively within teams, communicate effectively with coworkers, and maintain excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Organizational proficiency is essential to manage the documentation and assist the Site Quality Manager with daily activities. Candidates must be adaptable to a fast-paced work environment, able to manage physical demands such as climbing ladders, working on scaffolds, and navigating uneven terrain while lifting weights up to 50 pounds.
