Job Description

Abrasive Technology is a globally recognized leader specializing in the design and manufacturing of superabrasive grinding wheels and tools. With facilities located around the world, the company is committed to delivering innovative grinding, cutting, drilling, and polishing solutions tailored for a wide variety of advanced materials. Their products are integral to multiple industries, supporting processes that require impeccable precision and advanced technology. The company prides itself on fostering a team-oriented culture where innovation meets expertise, offering employees a supportive environment to grow and contribute significantly to shaping global industries.

The role of QC Inspector at Abrasive Technology is crucial to maintaining the high standards that the company promises its clients. As a QC Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that aerospace, defense, and industrial components meet stringent quality requirements. This position involves working closely with technical plans, blueprints, and customer specifications to make sure each part produced is of the highest quality. You will be tasked with performing detailed inspections using various precision tools such as microscopes, micrometers, calipers, and electronic measurement systems. Additionally, you will review certifications and test results to comply with ISO9001, AS9100, Nadcap, and customer-specific regulations.

Your responsibilities will include completing First Article Inspections (FAI) and documenting reports with accuracy. Maintaining detailed records and reports of inspection results and non-conformances will be part of your daily activities. Verifying completed manufacturing steps, preparing shipping documents, packaging parts, and maintaining proper inventory records are also essential duties of this position. The QC Inspector plays a pivotal role in supporting the company’s mission to deliver quality products that ensure the functionality, safety, and reliability of aerospace and defense systems.

This full-time role is ideal for individuals who possess strong attention to detail and can work methodically to uphold strict quality control standards. The position requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working safely with personal protective equipment around certain chemicals. Abrasive Technology offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, company-paid life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, quarterly bonuses, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, holidays, and a company-wide December shutdown.

Importantly, due to the sensitive nature of aerospace and defense manufacturing and regulatory guidelines, employment at Abrasive Technology requires adherence to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment eligibility is limited to U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and properly licensed foreign persons. Applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check, and drug testing complies with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Abrasive Technology is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer, dedicated to diversity and inclusion in its workforce. Direct applicants are encouraged to apply as third-party submissions are not accepted at this time.
