The Quality Control Inspector role within Corning's Solar business is a crucial position responsible for ensuring that all solar products meet high-quality standards before reaching customers. This full-time role commands an hourly wage ranging from $22.00 to $23.50, dependent on experience, education, and other job-related factors. The inspector will conduct rigorous inspections, tests, and monitoring activities across various stages of the solar panel manufacturing process, including raw materials, assembly, lamination, and final testing. This position supports continuous improvement by identifying and resolving quality issues collaboratively with production and engineering teams. The role requires working within a dynamic environment that involves physical labor, exposure to varying temperatures, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Shifts may include overtime, weekends, and holidays.

The Quality Control Inspector must be well-versed in photovoltaic quality management and manufacturing standards, with proficiency in key quality control methodologies and software, such as MES and Microsoft Office. Candidates are expected to have a minimum of 1-2 years of manufacturing quality inspection experience, preferably in solar or electronics industries, and possess strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. The position also features responsibilities that include maintaining inspection instruments, preparing accurate quality reports, and training production personnel on quality standards. The inspector plays an active role in ensuring compliance with industry certifications and safety regulations.
