Job Description
Elyria Plastic Products (EPP) is a well-established contract manufacturer specializing in custom injection molding, mold making, and precision machining. With 39 years of experience, EPP has built a reputation for delivering high-quality, innovative solutions that combine craftsmanship, cutting-edge technology, and a strong sense of accountability. Operating within the industrial manufacturing sector, EPP serves a diverse client base that relies heavily on precision and quality for their parts and assemblies. The company prides itself on maintaining stringent quality standards and fostering a culture that values continuous improvement and employee engagement. This commitment has positioned EPP as a trusted partner in the plastic injection molding industry, supporting production needs with expert technical capabilities and superior customer service.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Inspector to join our second shift team. This hourly position plays a vital role in ensuring that all products meet exact customer specifications and comply with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastic injection molding and quality inspection within manufacturing environments. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with some variability during the training period. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for testing, inspecting, and documenting quality throughout all stages of manufacturing. Your work will directly support the integrity and excellence of the products manufactured by EPP.
This role requires a meticulous eye for detail and an ability to interpret blueprints, part drawings, and customer specifications accurately. You will be responsible for conducting receiving inspections on raw materials and components, performing first-piece, in-process, and final inspections on products and assemblies, and executing both destructive and non-destructive testing as needed. Maintaining calibrated gauges and measuring equipment is crucial to ensuring reliable and accurate inspection results. Additionally, you will be expected to accurately record and apply inspection data, using statistical methods where appropriate, to help maintain compliance and continuous quality improvements. Special testing may also be part of your duties based on internal procedures or specific customer needs.
At Elyria Plastic Products, we not only emphasize quality but also provide our employees with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package after 60 days of employment. Benefits include medical insurance with a Health Savings Account option, dental, vision, short-term disability, life insurance, supplemental insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan. Paid time off and company holidays are provided after 90 days. Joining EPP means becoming part of a team dedicated to excellence, innovation, and growth, where your expertise as a Quality Inspector will be highly valued and instrumental in upholding our standards of quality.
