The Quality Inspector role at Rhoads Industries represents an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the company’s ongoing success and growth. This position focuses on performing non-destructive testing (NDT) to ensure the integrity and quality of materials and components used within production. The Quality Inspector primarily utilizes Visual Testing (VT) with opportunities to support other NDT methods such as Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT). These efforts are critical to detecting and evaluating defects or irregularities without compromising the materials being inspected, thus ensuring safety and compliance with stringent industry standards like ASTM, ISO, and ASME.

The Inspector will collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality control teams to uphold high-quality standards, maintain safety protocols, and verify continued adherence to established procedures. With an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail, the role includes maintaining detailed reports of inspections, test results, and defect logs; preparing comprehensive documentation to facilitate corrective actions; and performing routine maintenance on NDT equipment to preserve testing accuracy. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility to work either the first or second shift based on team and production needs, with shift assignments made in partnership with management and the selected individual.

This position requires a deep understanding and practical experience with NDT tools and methods, strong visual inspection skills, knowledge of welding codes and standards, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities. The physical demands of the role include working in industrial and construction areas requiring personal protective equipment and the capability to perform detailed inspections in various physical positions and environments. The ideal candidate will have the ability to obtain and maintain Personnel Security Clearance and be proficient in essential software tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, OneNote, and PowerPoint.
