Job Description

Westfall Technik is a rapidly expanding plastic injection manufacturing company headquartered in the United States. With a commitment to retaining manufacturing jobs domestically rather than outsourcing overseas, Westfall Technik supports over 1,100 employees across 11 facilities nationwide and is continuously advancing towards global expansion. This company stands out in the manufacturing industry by investing heavily in its workforce. Employees at Westfall Technik are recognized as vital contributors to the company’s success, with emphasis placed on developing skills and nurturing talents, creating a work environment where people can grow professionally while making a measurable impact on the company's trajectory. This dedication to people-first values fosters a collaborative and innovative workplace culture that encourages employees to view their tenure with the company as a strategic investment in their future career paths.

At its Delta Yimin Technologies, Inc. division, Westfall Technik is currently seeking a Quality Engineer, a crucial role that ensures the products, processes, and systems meet not only internal quality standards but also customer expectations and regulatory compliance. This position involves extensive involvement in validation planning, inspection control, metrology systems, and providing comprehensive cross-functional support related to quality. The Quality Engineer acts as the main liaison for customer concerns, leading critical activities such as the review and disposition of Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs). This role is pivotal in upholding product integrity, driving regulatory adherence, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing validation protocols including Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ). They will manage and coordinate validation master plans and schedules, aligning with engineering and regulatory requirements. This role also requires designing and implementing effective inspection strategies for incoming materials, in-process production, and final product release while maintaining inspection criteria and control plans based on precise engineering drawings and specifications.

In addition, the Quality Engineer oversees metrology and measurement systems, ensuring calibration maintains traceability to recognized standards and managing Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) activities, such as Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R). The candidate leads NCMR evaluations and disposition decisions, collaborating with multiple departments including engineering and supply chain management to apply corrective actions. This position is also responsible for direct communication with customers to resolve quality issues, conducting root cause analyses using structured problem-solving tools, and providing detailed quality performance reports.

The role demands strong adherence to internal and external quality standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and IATF 16949, and involves active participation in quality audits and continuous documentation management. The Quality Engineer will also support supplier quality functions, including qualifying suppliers and resolving supplier-related quality issues. Essential skills include strong communication abilities, proficiency with quality management systems, ERP software, and statistical analysis tools. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or equivalent) and 3-5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing quality engineering role.

This position is typically based in a manufacturing facility office environment with moderate noise levels and requires the ability to collaborate effectively across teams both in person and remotely. Westfall Technik fosters an inclusive work culture, being an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity across all forms of background and identity.

Compensation for this role is competitive, with a salary around $120,000, reflecting education and experience. Employees benefit from 11 paid holidays, sick pay, vacation pay, and a 401K plan with employer matching. Additional comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, employer-sponsored life and AD&D insurance, short and long-term disability coverage, and paid parental leave. This opportunity offers a dynamic and supportive environment for a quality engineering professional seeking to make a significant impact while growing with a leading manufacturing company.
