Holder Construction is a nationally recognized leader in the construction industry, consistently ranked among the top firms on Engineering News-Record's (ENR) Top 400 Contractors list. As a performance-driven company, Holder Construction prides itself on rewarding excellence and investing in its people through a structured career development program. With operations across the United States, Holder Construction provides a highly competitive compensation and benefits package that supports its workforce's well-being and success. This package includes an annual bonus program, paid time off, comprehensive health, dental, vision, and life insurance plans, a 401(k) retirement plan, and night and swing shift differential pay for select roles. Such benefits underscore the company's commitment to fostering both professional growth and work-life balance for its employees.

Holder Construction is currently seeking a Quality Coordinator to join its Quality team on a project located in Chester, Virginia. This is a full-time, in-person role ideal for experienced construction professionals dedicated to ensuring that projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. The Quality Coordinator will play a vital role in managing and implementing the project quality control program, performing daily quality procedures, and ensuring proper coordination throughout the construction process. This role requires close collaboration with internal and external team members, including subcontractors, consultants, and owners' representatives, to conduct thorough document reviews and coordinate execution during construction and commissioning phases.

The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with a variety of stakeholders. They must be able to conduct inspections with trade partners, oversee checklist accuracy, and ensure compliance with project requirements before and after inspections. Knowledge of a broad range of general construction processes—such as testing laboratory protocols, soil and concrete testing, asphalt paving, structural steel and welding, and other construction observations—is essential for this position.

Attention to detail and methodical management of project QC documentation are critical to this role. The Quality Coordinator will help ensure that procedures are followed rigorously, project risks are mitigated, and all issues are properly closed. The ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications, and to identify errors or redundancies for resolution, is necessary. Additionally, the coordinator will manage equipment tracking tools, update inspection statuses, conduct quality and field meetings, review logs such as deficiencies and punch lists, and provide clear documentation and meeting minutes.

This role also involves coordinating inspection paperwork with trade partners, managing testing reports, training on software tools for consistency, and creating and distributing all checklists, inspections, completion lists, punch lists, and reports on the office side. The candidate will engage both office and field staff closely to understand project schedules, supporting critical commissioning and energization dates. Participation in trade pre-installation meetings is required to ensure all trades understand the project's quality control requirements before on-site work begins. Furthermore, monitoring construction activities and reviewing materials and equipment deliveries to verify compliance with specifications is part of the daily responsibilities.

The company encourages candidates who aspire to develop their leadership skills, as the role offers opportunities to coach and mentor junior employees and grow into leadership roles within the company. Holder Construction embraces equal employment opportunity and requires substance abuse testing and background screening as conditions of employment. Applicants must note that Holder Construction does not sponsor immigration status or benefits.
