The Texas division, Impact Floors of Texas, consolidates all services necessary for comprehensive flooring projects including material selection and procurement, project management, contract administration, installation, construction, and development services all under one roof. Over the years, the company has successfully completed hundreds of millions of dollars in renovations, showcasing their expertise in managing both small- and large-scale flooring projects from initial concept to completion. Currently, Impact Property Solutions is seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician I to join their team. This full-time role is pivotal for maintaining the high standards of flooring work completed by the company by overseeing daily flooring activities and rigorously inspecting products, materials, and workmanship for any defects or deviations from approved project specifications. The Quality Control Technician is responsible for conducting thorough daily inspections on-site to ensure that every phase of the flooring installation meets or exceeds quality benchmarks.

The position demands keen attention to detail and effective documentation skills, as all work activities and inspection findings must be recorded with specificity and accuracy. It is vital that all inspections and related work are performed in a professional, safe manner that upholds the company’s commitment to excellence and client satisfaction. Furthermore, the Quality Control Technician plays an important role in addressing customer concerns regarding workmanship, warranty issues, repairs, and material quality, escalating issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution. This individual works closely with installers, account representatives, and different departments within the organization to maintain clear communication regarding job specifications and to support project success.

Ideal candidates possess foundational knowledge in flooring construction and installation methods, with specific expertise in wood, carpet, vinyl, and tile flooring. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are critical, as the technician must effectively listen, negotiate, and present detailed reports across various levels of the organization. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • minimum 5-years flooring installation or related experience
  • experience selling products and services to multifamily property management companies or working for multifamily property management companies preferred

Job Duties

  • execute specific inspections on flooring construction and installation activities on site
  • develop, apply, and maintain quality requirements and standards for flooring and other construction projects
  • design and implement methods for quality control and process improvements for testing and inspection
  • promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methods, quality plans, documents, and reports
  • address customer concerns and issues, escalating them as necessary for job completion and customer satisfaction
  • respond to builder and/or post-sale customer concerns regarding warranty issues, repairs, and material or quality issues
  • communicate with installers to ensure clear understanding of job specifications and installation requirements to maintain high quality job standards
  • work with account representatives in various departments to insure that complete and proper information is provided for work assignments
