Known for its commitment to building and maintaining America's critical infrastructure, Contech focuses on producing innovative systems and materials that support drainage, stormwater management, bridge construction, and other essential civil engineering projects. The company prides itself on its culture of continuous improvement, a collaborative team environment, and a dedication to quality and safety in every product it manufactures. Employees at Contech benefit from comprehensive training programs, a supportive management team, and clear paths for career advancement, making it an exemplary workplace for professionals seeking growth in the infrastructure and manufacturing industries.
The role of Quality Control Technician at Contech's Riverside plant is pivotal in ensuring that all concrete products meet rigorous quality standards. As a Quality Control Technician, you will oversee and document a variety of concrete tests including air, slump, temperature, unit weight, and cylinder tests. Your role includes taking corrective action where necessary to maintain the highest product quality. You will maintain essential records for quality control inspections and cylinder breaks in line with company policies and PCI (Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute) requirements. Part of your responsibility involves inspecting raw materials and fresh concrete during batching and after testing to verify compliance with specifications and ensure proper mix designs are used for each product. Operational duties include managing quality control equipment according to manuals and guidelines, conducting random inspections of wire cage fabrication, and inspecting outgoing plant loads to guarantee accuracy and product integrity. This full-time position offers competitive wages ranging from $25.00 to $30.00 per hour depending on experience, along with opportunities for overtime work and an extensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability coverage, company-paid life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and a 401K plan. This position is ideal for candidates who have a background or technical education related to quality control or concrete production and who seek to contribute to the development of infrastructure critical for American communities. Joining Contech means becoming part of a company that values teamwork, continuous learning, and dedication to quality, providing a fulfilling career path and the chance to impact the nation’s infrastructure positively.
