This job opening is for the position of Quality Control Technician, a key role ensuring that Liberty Coca-Cola beverages meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The technician will oversee the entire production process from the receipt of raw materials to the final product to guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The role involves conducting rigorous inspections, testing, and audits to uphold product integrity and safety. This includes managing laboratory equipment, verifying calibration, and overseeing proper labeling and storage of materials. The technician will play a proactive role in enforcing a safety-first culture, adhering to all safety protocols and encouraging compliance among coworkers.
Additionally, the Quality Control Technician will be instrumental in supporting continuous improvement initiatives such as root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures to enhance product quality and operational efficiency. The position requires working collaboratively across departments and contributing to various audits, including mock recalls and food safety audits, ensuring that the production environment sustains its high standards. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2-3 years of manufacturing or production experience preferred
- 2+ years of laboratory technician or QA experience preferred
- background in chemistry, biology, or food science is a plus
- experience in the food or beverage industry is advantageous
- strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- proficient with computers and recordkeeping
- ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 60 lbs
- comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Job Duties
- Promote a safety-first culture by following all safety protocols
- ensure compliance with safety regulations and complete required training
- maintain a clean and organized workspace
- enforce proper use of personal protective equipment and GMP standards
- conduct inspections and audits across all stages of production
- order and manage concentrates, beverage bases, and HFCS for production needs
- perform testing of raw materials, syrups, and finished goods including sensory, chemical, microbiological, and water quality tests
- document and address quality concerns and lead corrective actions
- use laboratory equipment such as spectrophotometers, refractometers, and texture analyzers
- verify and maintain calibration and functionality of lab equipment
- ensure proper labeling and storage of all syrups, raw materials, and chemicals
- inspect packaging and labeling of finished goods for compliance
- lead mock recalls, GMP audits, and food safety audits
- support audits and provide documentation to verify compliance
- contribute to root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and other improvement initiatives
- train QA team members and other departments
