KSB's products are renowned for their high efficiency and reliability and are utilized in a wide range of applications including building services, industrial processes, water transport, waste water treatment, power plant operations, and mining. With a presence on every continent, KSB operates through its own sales and marketing organizations as well as manufacturing facilities, effectively ensuring a global footprint. The company supports its customers with more than 190 service centers and around 3,500 service specialists worldwide, providing local inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repair through the KSB SupremeServ brand.
KSB values the people behind its success, emphasizing passion, performance, and the critical role of employees in achieving company goals. The company is committed to equal rights and treatment worldwide, with a strong focus on ecological responsibility and sustainability throughout the manufacturing process. This approach reinforces KSB’s mission to deliver technology and services that not only meet today's market demands but are also aligned with long-term environmental stewardship.
The Quality Control Technician role at KSB SupremeServ by KSB GIW, Inc., located in Thomson, Georgia, is a pivotal position within the Service Department. Reporting directly to the Service Center Operations Manager, this first-shift, non-exempt role focuses on ensuring that all components, repairs, and completed pump assemblies comply rigorously with company drawings, specifications, ISO procedures, and internal quality benchmarks. The technician will be responsible for inspecting dismantled pump parts and performing final inspections on both in-house and subcontracted repairs, ensuring that all quality documentation is verified and completed prior to shipment.
In this capacity, the Quality Control Technician supports calibration control, conduct hold point inspections, and manage non-conformance reporting, working closely with technicians, supervisors, and customers to maintain exceptional quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction. The role requires a thorough understanding of rotating equipment, proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings along with GD&T standards, and expertise with precision measurement tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, height gauges, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
This position offers opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, promote workplace safety, and ensure an organized, clean, and compliant work environment. The technician will also have responsibilities in training new employees on quality procedures and inspections, further enhancing the team’s overall capabilities. Equipped with stop-work authority, the Quality Control Technician has the responsibility to halt any non-conforming products or unsafe procedures, underscoring the importance of quality and safety in KSB's operational culture.
Joining KSB means aligning with a company that prizes innovation, sustainable practices, and a diverse and inclusive workplace environment. KSB is an equal opportunity employer focused on recruiting talent solely based on qualifications and merit, ensuring fair and equitable employment practices across all levels. Employees at KSB benefit from a supportive work environment that encourages professional growth through training and development alongside competitive wages and benefits.
