This includes documentation, logging, and adherence to various quality control procedures. Due to the nature of the job, the technician must be available to work up to seven days per week, including varied and extended hours, with the possibility of short-term travel out of town. Daily travel between Boise and the Idaho Falls and Twin Falls locations is also expected.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in aggregate and concrete materials, with at least two years of experience in these areas. Familiarity with testing procedures and certifications is highly preferred, including ACI-Field Grade 1 and Idaho WAQTC aggregate certification. Additional certifications from recognized bodies such as WAQTC, ACI, or NRMCA are advantageous. The company encourages applications from women, veterans, and minorities, emphasizing its inclusive hiring practices. Compliance with a pre-employment drug test and background checks is mandatory. In line with its commitment to supporting veterans, Knife River also recognizes transferable military skills and offers pathways for transitioning military personnel to become part of their workforce.

This position represents an excellent opportunity for skilled quality control professionals looking to advance their careers within a nationally recognized company that values teamwork, safety, and community. By joining Knife River, the Concrete Quality Control Technician will contribute directly to the quality and reliability of construction materials that build the infrastructure of communities in Idaho and beyond. Prospective applicants are advised to apply online as emails and resumes sent in lieu of the required application will not be considered.
