With a commitment to innovation, quality manufacturing, and customer satisfaction, Pregis operates manufacturing facilities equipped with state-of-the-art technology to support efficient production and maintain high standards. Located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the company emphasizes a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and collaborative teamwork to deliver trusted packaging materials that meet the evolving needs of the market.

The role of the Quality Control Technician at Pregis is integral to maintaining these high standards throughout the production processes. This full-time position operates primarily on a Monday through Friday schedule from 8AM to 4:30PM, with occasional overtime shifts beginning at 6:00AM when required. Based in Tulsa, the technician supports pre- and post-production quality control procedures, ensuring strict adherence to engineering specifications and company policies. The technician acts as a vital bridge between the production team and quality assurance by verifying product quality, collecting accurate data on quality metrics, and identifying defects. By motivating and coaching the production team, the Quality Control Technician helps to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production goals that align with company objectives.

Key responsibilities include conducting layered audits on critical quality projects, performing root cause investigations, and participating in regular quality team meetings to discuss ongoing improvements. This role also requires the technician to engage in team training, utilize quality control stamps for approvals, and communicate effectively across departments to maintain seamless production flows. The position offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to process improvement initiatives while ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards.

Ideal candidates for the Quality Control Technician role possess a high school diploma complemented by previous quality assurance experience and practical knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams under pressure, and proficiency in relevant software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to learn and apply technical programming software are essential for success. The work environment includes both climate controlled and non-climate controlled areas, requiring adherence to personal protective equipment guidelines.

This position suits individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings, are detail-oriented, accountable, and eager to maintain a positive workplace culture while driving quality improvements. Pregis values proactive employees capable of making independent decisions, collaborating cross-functionally, and consistently meeting quality and production deadlines.
