The role of the Quality Control Technician at Pregis is integral to maintaining these high standards throughout the production processes. This full-time position operates primarily on a Monday through Friday schedule from 8AM to 4:30PM, with occasional overtime shifts beginning at 6:00AM when required. Based in Tulsa, the technician supports pre- and post-production quality control procedures, ensuring strict adherence to engineering specifications and company policies. The technician acts as a vital bridge between the production team and quality assurance by verifying product quality, collecting accurate data on quality metrics, and identifying defects. By motivating and coaching the production team, the Quality Control Technician helps to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production goals that align with company objectives.

In this role, the technician is responsible for the implementation and consistent enforcement of safety policies and Lean manufacturing concepts such as the 5S methodology, fostering a safe and efficient workplace environment. Key responsibilities include conducting layered audits on critical quality projects, performing root cause investigations, and participating in regular quality team meetings to discuss ongoing improvements. This role also requires the technician to engage in team training, utilize quality control stamps for approvals, and communicate effectively across departments to maintain seamless production flows.
